Hey everyone!
Welcome to the new Diavolo tour blog!
We’re pretty excited about a lot of the new features on our website, diavolo.org, which among other social networking adds like Twitter, Facebook, Myspace and a photoblog, includes this blog. We hope to update this blog regularly as we tour the US and world, and as we rehearse for the new season and take part in some of exciting ventures we have planned for the near future!
Take some time on our webpage and check out the AUDITION notice! We have four - count ‘em FOUR! - different cities holding auditions this year and we’re looking for the best and brightest the US dance and acrobatic pool has to offer for the upcoming tour season.
We’re also having summer intensives again this year, stay tuned for the official dates and to see on which set piece each intensive will focus.
Lastly, we have a crazy amazing tour planned for next season, and we couldn’t be more excited. We’ll have more information on that in the near future too.
But enough official speak, this blog is for us dancers to journal about what it’s like to be in a touring dance company. We each feel honored and blessed to get to have such a wonderful job, and we’re going to use this blog as an outlet for all our fun stories, pictures and antics along the way…
Thanks for checking us out, and please check back soon… tomorrow we’re headed out to Iowa, the first city on a 5-week tour that also takes us through Wisconsin, Nebraska, Missouri and Texas… I promise I will do my best to get as much fun content up as we can over the next few weeks!
